Financial Pro Tip: God I suck.
Do not ignore the beeping on the atm machine while you try and fill out the atm deposit envelope it just dispensed for you. It is most likely about to keep your card, as it did mine. I know better then this, collecting these cards are part of my daily routine, thus this makes me an idiot. Also do not go asking anyone in the bank can you get it back, the answer is always NO. I hear people asking the tellers for their cards back far too often.
The armored car company who services whichever atm you are at will collect the card and destroy it either on the spot or later. Bitching about it to the bank employees will not help you, so don’t do it. Call the 800 number and report what happened asap and pray it wasn’t right before all of the banking holidays like my incident.
