• Martini or rocks glass
• 1.5 oz vodka or gin
• 0.5 oz lime juice
• lime wheel

Side Car

• Martini or tall glass rimmed with sugar
• 10z brandy
• 0.5 oz triple sec
• fill with sweet and sour
• shake

Old Fashioned

• Start with empty rocks glass
• 1 packet sugar
• 3-4 dashes of bitters
• 1 oz club soda
• cherry, orange and lemon wedges
• muddle
• add ice
• fill with spirit of choice

Godmother

• Rocks glass
• 1.5 oz vodka
• 0.5 oz amaretto

Colorado Bulldog

• Tall glass
• 1.5 oz vodka
• 0.5 oz Kahlua
• Cream
• Shake
• Splash of Cola

Kelley has been busy with school as of late so I am taking it as my duty to continue her drink of the day segment, today we have one that tastes better then the ingredients would have led me to believe. Try it out, you probably wont hate it!

Brave Bull:

• Rocks glass
• 1.5 oz tequila
• 0.5 oz Kahlua

I learned this drink today at bartending school and was impressed by the sheer radiance of it.  Apparently in low lit environments, it appears to glow.

Recipe for two shots:

Use shaker tin- fill with ice- use strainer.

• 1 oz Midori
• 1 oz Rum
• 1 oz Lime juice
• POUR!

Since it’s Paul Revere’s Birthday (unfortunately not the revolutionary hero,  but that found here.  For the sake of this having any semblance of a logical leap, we will pretend it is the formers’,) today’s drink will be a cool, refreshing, world class Samuel Adams.

Now Samuel Adams is not only a beer.  He is also an American patriot, much like Paul Revere!   If you need a history lesson, click-y the wiki.

Where did Las Vegas go? It’s windy, wet and cold, while it should be wind-free warm and dry! To take ours minds off of this misguided natural phenomena known as seasonal weather, we’ll pretend we’re elsewhere.

Imagine your feet moving slowly through the sand as you glide along the beach with a towel draped over your shoulder and hurricane glass in hand. The grains finding their ways between your toes don’t bother you today, because this is paradise. The cool ocean breeze, like lungs, breathes down your back as you find a place to settle under the bright, warm sun. You are a cheeseburger in paradise.
