New Years Resolutions, Let the 2008 posting begin.

January 01, 2008 By: Phil Category: Phil's Ramblings No Comments →

The following shall be what I hope to accomplish and will work hard towards this year:

1. Run every day no matter what… Work myself up to 3 miles a day every day.
2. Get on with a Police Department within the Las Vegas area. (working towards this one and hopefully will be achieved mid year with either DPS or UNLV Police).
3. Smile more, it doesn’t take that much more effort and people wont mistake you for angry all the time.
4. Stay in better contact with those you care about. If you care about them find the time to shoot off an email to say hello.
5. Post at least two cigar reviews a week, if your going to smoke every brand you come across may as well share the details.
6. Chip away at credit card debt and continue to save for retirement(already in progress)
7. Write quality posts that leave someone feeling like they learned something, be it about you or otherwise. No one wants to read garbage.
8. Seriously sell all my extra crap on eBay and de-clutter my life. Take proceeds and dump straight into debt or investments.
9. Work on getting the 85 Porsche 944 up to tip top shape, then worry about all the project 928s and 911s sitting collecting dust. Also don’t be selfish, take pictures and write up procedures so others may benefit from your knowledge.
10. Do not butcher the English language so badly so often.

Cowboy Bebop Soundtrack Suprisingly Awesome

December 31, 2007 By: Phil Category: Anime, Music, Phil's Ramblings No Comments →

The album linked under the image below has turned out to be the best gift I have received in quite some time. I had forgotten just how much I loved the music from the first anime I saw that I did not find to be total garbage.

Cowboy Bebop CD Box (Limited Edition)

Thank-you Kevin, for the awesome gift.

The Christmas Haul.

December 25, 2007 By: Phil Category: Phil's Ramblings No Comments →

I think as far as my family goes, everyone received items they either wanted or could use, without going too overboard. I am the lucky recipient of a new Timex Expedition watch as a replacement to my last one with a broken face, some T shirts, an Axe gift set, Dvds of the Borat movie and The 300, Cd set of Cowboy Bebop music, some cd-r’s, and some money that has already been dumped into my mutual funds.

I gave out clothing that was requested, a mixer for a guitar to my sister, money to a friend, and a computer that is not quite done yet to my friend.

Overflow…

December 04, 2007 By: Phil Category: Phil's Ramblings No Comments →

That is what I came to find when I walked into the garage as of 10 minutes ago. Nasty overflow from the washing machine not having the ability to drain properly anymore. Decided to tear apart the drain U joint to see what was wrong and bout lost my dinner with the odor of the sludge that fell out. Sadly, it was not just in the U joint and is quite extensive, brushing it out a bit helped but I am going to need to devise some way to clean further down the pipe if I wish to wear clean clothing in the future.

I should probably be asleep, but with the present circumstances… the laundry must be re rinsed, then I may dry it. I feel like smoking a cigar, but it is far too cold outside and I for the life of me can not find any of my longer wooden matches nor my butane lighter. Oh well, time for an awesome night of not much other than irritants.
